SHADOW of the HEART GRIEF
WHY ELEPHANT?
Animal Kingdom, Elephant: Emotional and with the capacity to grieve. Elephants will remember those who were born to the herd even after years of separation. They also are found mourning the bodies of their deceased comrades. We can learn from the strong group dynamic of elephant that we are better together than when apart, but also need to respect that when we lose a member of the heard, it is natural to feel & show our emotions to help move through the trauma of the loss. By doing this we allow our bodies to feel and heal.
WHAT ARE YOU LEARNING?
(Balance) When we view our lives from a place of singularity and separation, any form of loss is going to affect us and unbalance our position. It is easy to think you are unaffected by grief and its emotional blocks, but when loss strikes where and how will you deal with this isolating emotion? When your views conclude that all beings are of one mind, one heart, and one soul, you begin to understand that the ones we see outside of ourselves are just a part of our ongoing life cycle. This helps us to realize, we are all one heart, here supporting each other to remember. When you can look at everyone as a form of yourself, loss becomes another part of the journey and will not unbalance your state of being. When you are unable to see others as a version of yourself, loss will always result in some form of grief and sorrow.
